Programm

Day 1 : The ski touring trip to the Dôme des Ecrins begins at Pré de Madame Carle 1874m. Ascent to the Ecrins refuge 3170m. Depending on road opening, departure may be from the Claux tunnel (Pelvoux) or Ailefroide 1515 m.
D+= 700 to 1200 m depending on starting point.
Climbing time: 5 h

Day 2 : The Dôme de Neige des Écrins at 4015 m, with wide-angle panoramic views from the summit under the blue skies of the Southern Alps.
D+= 1000m / D-= 2200 m
Ascent time: 4 h
Return to the valley in the early afternoon.

This program is indicative. The management reserves the right to modify all or part of this program before or during the trip.

Caution : The ascent of the Dôme des Ecrins is exposed to the risk of falling seracs, a spontaneous and totally unpredictable event. You must accept this risk before going up.

Access

To be defined with the guide

Level

– Know how to ski on all types of ungroomed snow, on slopes of up to 40°: ESF Class 4 level.
– Master turns, speed and the ability to stop quickly, whatever the quality of the snow.
– Very good physical condition required: able to walk 8 hours with a rucksack.

Price

Price includes:

– Supervision by a mountain guide.
in accordance with the program.
– Collective technical equipment (rope, carabiners, ice screws).
– Loan of avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe.

The price does not include:

– Hut fees, meals, guide’s half pension, drinks and food.
– Transport from your home to the meeting point and from the separation point.
– Rental of ski touring and technical equipment.
– In general, everything that is not indicated in the “Price includes” section.

Period

From the opening of the refuges, generally at the end of March.

Supervision

You’ll be supervised by a mountain guide from the Bureau des Guides et Accompagnateurs des Ecrins, with a Brevet d’Etat diploma in mountaineering education. He will be equipped with a VHF radio linked to the mountain rescue switchboard.

ATTENTION: don’t forget that your guide is the sole judge of the program, which he can modify at any time for safety reasons (physical level of participants, weather conditions, etc.).

Private supervision

The private commitment of a high mountain guide, a mountain accompanist or a climbing instructor relies on the choice of a privileged relationship with a professional. You will enjoy, alone, in a group or with your family, an exceptional moment, being free to choose your activity, your date and destination.

Collective supervision
