Neige Cordier’s peak Normal Way 3613 m

Sector : Glacier Blanc
Level :
Débrouillé
Duration : 2 days
Meeting : 6 pm at the Glacier Blanc refuge (2550 m).
Collective : 340 € per person (from 2 up to 3 participants)
Private : 580 € global (until 3 participants)
It is one of the great classics, unavoidable, of the Glacier Blanc sector, facing the Écrins. Once very popular, this race has regained a certain tranquility because the glacial retreat has made some delicate passages. However, the difficulty remains moderate, and the view from the summit remains as wonderful as ever: the Glacier Blanc extends its dress from the heights of the Barre and the Dôme de neige des Écrins.

Programm

1st day: Meet your High Mountain Guide around 6pm at the Glacier Blanc refuge (2550m) which you will reach in about two hours walk from Mme Carle’s meadow above the village of Ailefroide.

2nd day: on the following day, departure a little before sunrise depending on the time of the season. You will set foot on the Glacier itself to reach the bottom of Emile Pic pass.
After the ascent of the pass, the final stage takes place on the west side up to the summit. Return by the same route.

It’s possible to spend the night at the Ecrins refuge : the ascent the next day is shorter and easier, but the meeting on the first day is at 2pm at the Glacier Blanc refuge. The price for this option is 620€.

This price includes the prestation of a high-mountain guide of the Bureau des Guides et Accompagnateurs des Écrins. It does not include the eventual rental of equipment, neither the night at the refuge or your meals/snacks.

Period

Course scheduled all summer from June to mid-September. On request outside these dates. This race suffers from drought in season, then we advise you to do it in early summer depending on snow conditions, before August 1st. Contact us to know the evolution of the conditions. The Glacier Blanc refuge is guarded until mid-September. After this date we will have to consider making our own meal on site, with a stove and having taken the food to the refuge.
