Boeufs Rouges Traverse 3516 m
Meeting :
6pm at the Sélé refuge (2511 m).
The day starts by the ascent of the glacier at dawn. After a beautiful sunny edge, the crossing continues with a wild descent to the South, towards the Bancs refuge, in a preserved universe, inhabited by the chamois and the spirit of the Ecrins.
Programm
– Meeting with your high mountain guide around 6 pm at the Sélé refuge (2511 m) which you will reach in around 3 hours hiking from Ailefroide village.
– The following day, a little before sunrise, we leave for the Col du Sélé, which we reach by an elegant glacier course. The ridge will be waiting for you, never difficult but requiring experience, with an intelligent path. The descent is made through the Normal Way and the southern slope, to reach the tiny Fournet glacier and the vast pastures and chamois slopes that lead back to the Bans refuge where you will find civilization. We will finish the day in the valley of Entre les Aygues where we left a vehicle the day before.
