Montbrison-Eperon Renaud tenaille

Ecrins guide office at Vallouise. This meeting place can be adapted to your living place.
It is one of the most beautiful limestone lines of Hautes Alpes north. From Briançon the Pliers shine in the rising sun, in the evening they cut their sharp needles in the sky of the Hautes-Alpes.
Here the atmosphere is reminiscent of the Dolomites: a peaceful approach in the undergrowth gives way to the stone quarries that rise towards the walls. The Eperon Renaud, like the famous "spigolos", throws 350 metres of momentum towards the sky for a climb that leaves lasting memories. The Eperon Renaud is passable as soon as the snow has left the access valley. The cool atmosphere at the end of the climb means that cold or windy days at the beginning and end of the season must be avoided.
The ideal months are June, July and August.
Programm
Appointment in the morning to be arranged according to your living place. Early departure because the Eperon Renaud passes into the shade at the end of the day and a slight cold can be felt there.
Approach walk of about 1.5 hours.
4 to 6 hours of climbing.
It takes an abseil and half an hour’s walk to get back to the departure of the track, then a short hour to get back to the car

The Ecrins guide office is in Vallouise La Casse, a shopping mall one kilometre before the centre of Vallouise from L’Argentière la Bessée, near the pharmacy.
