The Bans refuge, at an altitude of 2083 metres, is still in the world of the middle mountains. You will meet marmots, chamois, a rich and varied flora. It didn’t take very long to reach the little house on the mountain by a good path and meet Alice and Stéphane, the guardians. They will be waiting for you for a warm welcome and a gourmet stopover, in the heart of the Ecrins National Park. It is for the whole family to discover a majestic environment and a way of life punctuated by the seasons.

Programm

– Go to the Ecrins guide office at Vallouise. Travel to Entre les Aygues (20 minutes by car, possibility to do carpooling).

– From Entre les Aygues, climbed in the late afternoon towards the refuge of Les Bans (2083 m), in the heart of the Ecrins national park, in the middle of the local fauna, chamois, marmots,... The guardians await us for a convivial and gourmet evening. Ideal for discovering a "real" mountain refuge with your family.

– Return Wednesday in the late morning, after a short walk above the refuge to embrace the morning landscape.

– Hiking boots (low or high).
– Rain gear.
– Backpack 20 liters minimum.
– Sun Cream
– Sunglasses
– Hat
– 1.5 litres of water minimum in a resistant bottle (no fragile plastic bottle).
– Picnic for lunch.
– Snacks (cereal bars, dried fruit,...)

Access

The Ecrins guide office is in Vallouise La Casse, a shopping mall one kilometre before the centre of Vallouise from L’Argentière la Bessée, near the pharmacy.

Supervision

By a graduate, holding a state certificate in alpinism, « High-mountain guide – or trainee », UIAGM.

Private supervision

The private commitment of a high mountain guide, a mountain accompanist or a climbing instructor relies on the choice of a privileged relationship with a professional. You will enjoy, alone, in a group or with your family, an exceptional moment, being free to choose your activity, your date and destination.

Collective supervision

Le nombre de personnes encadrées par un guide se détermine en fonction de la difficulté de la course et de la gestion des risques. Ce nombre peut être modifié aussi de par les conditions de la montagne du moment.
